Journal of Business Management

(Detailed and Academically Written)

The Journal of Business Management (JBM) is committed to advancing high-quality, accessible, and globally inclusive research in business, management, finance, entrepreneurship, and allied disciplines. Recognizing that financial constraints often hinder participation—particularly for early-career researchers, students, independent scholars, and authors from under-resourced institutions—the journal has established a comprehensive Free-of-Cost Policy to ensure that neither authors nor readers face financial barriers throughout the submission, review, and publication process.

1. No Submission Fees

JBM does not charge any submission fees. Authors can submit original research articles, review papers, case studies, conceptual analyses, or short communications without any financial obligation. This policy promotes broad academic participation and encourages contributions from scholars worldwide, regardless of institutional or economic background.

2. No Article Processing Charges (APCs)

The journal strictly follows a zero Article Processing Charge (APC) policy. All editorial and publication activities—including:

  • Initial manuscript screening,

  • Plagiarism and similarity checks,

  • Double-blind peer review,

  • Revision management, and

  • Final acceptance and preparation—

are provided free of charge. Authors are never required to pay fees, and publication decisions are based exclusively on scholarly merit, methodological rigor, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

3. No Publication, Formatting, or Digital Hosting Fees

JBM ensures a fully cost-free publication process. Authors incur no charges for:

  • Copyediting and language refinement

  • Typesetting, layout, and formatting

  • DOI registration and metadata management

  • Online hosting, indexing, and archiving

  • Publication of supplementary materials, datasets, or appendices

  • Inclusion in special issues or thematic collections

If printed copies are produced for institutional distribution or archival purposes, authors are not charged unless additional personal copies are requested.

4. Full Open Access for Readers

JBM operates under a full Open Access model, making all content freely accessible worldwide. Readers can download, cite, and share articles without subscription fees or paywalls. Open access maximizes the visibility, reach, and impact of scholarly research in business and management studies.

5. Transparent Institutional Funding

Operational costs—including editorial management systems, website hosting, DOI services, digital archiving, and administrative support—are fully covered by the journal’s supporting institution, academic sponsors, or external research grants. This transparent funding model ensures that the journal remains free for both authors and readers while maintaining rigorous editorial standards.

6. Promoting Equity and Inclusive Participation

By removing financial barriers, JBM supports equitable participation of:

  • Early-career researchers and graduate students

  • Scholars from low-income or developing regions

  • Independent researchers and practitioners

  • Academics from underfunded or emerging institutions

This policy ensures that publication opportunities are merit-based, fostering a globally inclusive and diverse scholarly community.

7. Long-Term Archiving and Free Access

The journal employs secure digital preservation systems to ensure permanent, cost-free access to all published content. Current and past issues remain freely accessible, supporting sustainable knowledge dissemination for academic, professional, and policy-related purposes.

8. Licensing, Reuse, and Author Rights

Articles are published under an appropriate Creative Commons Open Access License (typically CC BY). This allows users to:

  • Download, distribute, and reproduce content

  • Utilize articles for teaching, research, and policy-making

  • Adapt, translate, or build upon the material with proper attribution

Authors retain copyright and may self-archive their work in institutional repositories, professional networks, or personal websites, enhancing visibility and academic impact.

9. No Hidden or Optional Fees

The journal maintains complete transparency:

  • No hidden charges at any stage

  • No optional paid services

  • No fees for expedited review or special issue inclusion

Editorial and peer-review decisions are made solely on academic merit, independent of financial considerations.

10. Commitment to Ethical, Inclusive, and Accessible Publishing

The free-of-cost policy embodies the journal’s commitment to ethical, inclusive, and accessible research dissemination. By eliminating financial barriers for authors and readers, JBM ensures that high-quality business management research reaches a global audience, contributing to knowledge advancement, professional practice, and policy development.
